First introduced in the 1930s, the CPO was named for the Chief Petty Officers to whom it was most often issued. typically cut from flannel fabrics, the CPO was originally designed with a roomy fit that allowed officers to wear it as outerwear over heavier knit layers.
for this version, we took this garment to the next level, giving it a more modern tailored fit, and constructing it from a lightweight-yet-substantial quilted fabric for added protection against the elements.
